This Saturday, 12-6-08, will be the monthly meeting of MSEA (Minnesota Steam Engine Association). The meeting will be at 12:30 at Charlie's Cafe on main street in Freeport, MN. Normally the meetings are 1:00, but there is a party coming in after our meeting so we need to start a little early this month. This meeting will also be the election of officers and board members, so we hope to see all of the steam people at the meeting.

The purpose of the Minnesota Steam Engine Association is as follows:
To foster, perpetuate and develop interest in the Steam Engine Hobby by providing a forum for the presentation and exchange of materials, information and ideas, by providing education in the preservation, restoration and safe operation of historical steam engines and boilers, and by educating the public regarding the significant role these devices played in the development of many diverse industries thereby perpetuating the existence of these working reminders.

Hope to see a big turnout at the meeting.

Good idea posting it here Tom. I hope it gets some more people to the meeting for you!

The MSEA is a very worthy organization... I have been a member for a couple of years now. Not as active as I could be (too many other irons in the fire) but I do support the organization just as everyone with an interest in steam should.

This Saturday, 12/5/09 will be the monthly meeting for MSEA, at the Twin Pines resturant in Rice Minnesota at 1:00 PM. Come early and hae some lunch before the meeting. I recieved an email from Joel Amato, our Chief Biler Inspector, and he is hoping to make it to the meeting to discuss some of the license isues that are pending. It should be an informative meeting. Hope to see many of you there.
