Darlene Longtine

Darlene G. Longtine age 64 of rural Lake Park, Minnesota died Wednesday at Meritcare Hospital in Fargo. Darlene Longtine was born on December 14, 1944 in Fargo, North Dakota to Ralph and Alice Borg Yaeger. She grew up and received her education in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High School in 1962. She then attended North Dakota State University. On November 20, 1964 she was united in marriage to Larry Longtine in Fargo, North Dakota. They made their home and raised their family in Fargo. In 1989 they moved to Lake Ida, in rural Lake Park, Minnesota, where they owned and operated Longtine’s Carving Shop. Darlene loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed family camping trips. She also enjoyed time spent with her quilting and sewing friends.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; two daughters, Jenny Longtine, of Fargo, North Dakota, and Julie (Dan) Westrick, of Fargo, North Dakota. Two Grandchildren, Jacob and Molly Westrick. Three Sisters, Naomi (Dean) Bartle, of Fargo, North Dakota, Evie (Bob) Harris, of Saginaw, Minnesota, and Corrine (Mike) Yaeger-vonBirgelen, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Her Mother, Alice Yaeger, of Fargo, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her Father, and one Brother, Lyle Yaeger.
