I have an old toy steam engine.
It is an all brass construction, vertical boiler with a heating unit a person would fill with alcohol, much like the fancy buffet serving dishes of long ago.
It was purchased by my late uncle when he was in his mid-teens. He passed away last year at 89yrs. old.
It has some damage in that, when it was dropped, the flywheel bracket and flywheel are broken. The story goes; that after that incident, he put it on a shelf and left it there.
The only legible writing is that of " WEEDEN ". There is some lettering below that, but it is not readable. It has "reg. u.s. patent" on it also.
I am asking for help in tracking down any information on this engine. I am trying to re-build this engine, but I need guidance.
Thank You
Paul McCracken

I know nothing about models Paul, but it really sounds like an interesting piece. I hope someone will be able to help you out.

Go to the "Smokstak" forum. They have a section called scale models and toys. You have a popular model and they have pictures and also parts available. Tim Moen.
