2010 Steam school

When I went thru steam school about 8 years ago they did a recap on Sunday before the exam. I've heard the exam is on Monday now. Is this true? My son will be 18 in April and is going to get his license and was wondering if they still do a recap before the exam. He attended steam school 7 years ago. I also saw that the steam school dates were Friday to Sunday. Did I read that right? We hope to be there to help out wherever they may need help. Any help on this will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for reminding us all that Steam School is coming up. I don't have an answer about the recap on Sunday. Hopefully Tom H will 'stop by' this thread and answer that.

Former Students are invited to the Prony Brake and Baker Fan areas on Saturday and Sunday morning when this year's class is in the classroom. Engines will be available to allow people to practice maitaining fire and water when the steam engine is under load. Experienced engineers will be on hand to teach and share their knowledge. Time spent here can be used as experience needed before the written test can be taken, bring an affidavit.

alright i should've asked this in the first one but how does one sign up and what are the ages again? :hide: i used to know but it has seemed to slip my mind since. haha

I'm pretty sure there is no age limit to taking the class you however must be 16 or older to take the license test. Idon't know if theres room left in this years class one to contact would be Tom Hall

You do need to contact Tom Hall as Ned stated. I have heard that the class for this year is full, but you could get on a waiting list in case something opens up.
