LORI KNISH
Lori D. Knish, age 51 of Belle Plaine died on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at her home. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, April 12, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Lepper and Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8 pm at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Lori was born on October 5, 1958 in Moorhead, Minnesota. She grew up in Lake Park and graduated from Lake Park High School. She attended two years of Vo-Tech in Alexandria. She married Gary Knish on September 21, 1978 in Litchfield. They lived in New Prague for awhile and then moved to Belle Plaine in 1982. She worked for many years at Evonne’s Floral in Belle Plaine, and Michael’s Custom Framing in Bloomington. She also did wedding photography for a few years. She was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Safe Com with the sheriff’s department, the Sheriff’s Reserves and was also a member of the Belle Players Theatre for 20 years helping with the costumes, directing and stage design and acting.
She is survived by her Husband, Gary of Belle Plaine;
Daughter, Dawn (fiancé, Rik Felt) Knish of St. Paul;
Son, David Knish of Belle Plaine;
Grandchildren, Aurora Knish, Asher Felt and Lacey Knish
Parents, Earl and Jean Braseth of Lake Park, Minnesota
Siblings, Kevin (Annette) Braseth of Hawley, MN, Sheila (Steven) Schmidt of Belle Plaine, Eric (Kim) Braseth of Lake Park, and Gordon (Anne) Braseth of Audobon, MN;
and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her biological father, Marvin Nelson; granddaughter, Annaliese Knish; and nephew, Thomas Braseth.
Lori will truely be missed.....
