Donut Day is on the first Friday of June each year and follows on the Donut Day event created by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. National Doughnut Day is also recognized as being on the same day. The holiday celebrates the doughnut (a.k.a "donut") — an edible, ring-shaped piece of dough which is deep-fried and sweetened. Many American doughnut stores offer free doughnuts on Donut Day. In 2009, both independent doughnut shops and large national franchises offered free doughnuts in the United States.

Just a reminder: Free donuts are offered every work Saturday at Larson Welding, not just on National Donut Day! We should be proud of ourselves for honoring this day throughout the year.

Louie, as for your pictures, you probably should have turned them into CNN...we probably would have made national TV.:biglaugh:
