The site below has line drawings of different types of engines, both steam and gas. The engines can be watched in motion. Most of the engines also contain step by step drawings with explainations.

I ran across this several years ago and I still like to look at them.

That is a great site. Thanks Jerry.

I thought these two were particularly interesting:

How do you make a picture into a link? You must be a site manager somewhere else.

How to use a picture as a link:

1. Insert a picture (or .gif) into message from your off-site picture hosting service (photobucket, or similar service - does not work with attachments).

2. Select the inserted pic and click the "Insert Link" button.

3. The Hyperlink Dialog Box will appear - Type or paste the desired link URL into the Hyperlink Dialog Box, and click "OK".

4. You're done. It's just that simple. It is the exact same process as if you were using a string of text as a link, except you select the pic instead of a text string before you click "Insert Link".

Hope this answers your question. http://hotrodrepair.com/Rollag/Images/smiley_gear.gif

Joe, thank you for the info on how to better make use of the tools available to us in this forum.

To add to the engine animations, here are a few of the reversing and locomotion of a steam train's linkages, with thanks to http://home.new.rr.com/trumpetb/loco/
