Well, last year anyway! Before show last year, someone graciously pointed out that at least half of the support ties for the little Ortner "Bridge" were pretty rotten. With the help of some very energetic members, the task of replacing the ties went swiftly. Attached are some pics. Helping (and forgive if I forget or dont remember names correctly--please post if I make a mistake!) were Dan Long, Peter Masley, Jerry Anderson, Mikey "Hendo" Henricks, "Tennesee" and helpers (sorry boys, I forgot your names!). Sure looked Jim-Dandy when it was finished. Thanks for all the help!:picture:

Cara caught Jerry in the middle of a laugh while working on the Ortner bridge. Jerry is NOT going to be happy when he sees this! But I love the picture; its one of my favorites from last year! It makes me smile!:)

Man!!!
Great work Dan, or Dawn... whoever is at the controls there!
You have been busy!!!
Great pictures! You have a great eye!
I see you have the remote hosting thing figured out. Isn't it a lot more fun this way? A lot easier on our resources too!
One thing to keep in mind. You might want to consider keeping your size down to 600X800 or less. I usually use 640X480. The only reason for this is so that people don't have to scroll sideways to see your whole picture. It doesn't bother me any, because my monitor is big enough that I can see them anyway, but I used to have a 15" monitor and I had to scroll sideways a lot.
If you do resize any of your pictures, remember to save the new size under a different file name. If you over write your original with the smaller picture, using the same filename, you will lose the original forever! You cannot make them bigger again, and have the same results. I know from experience!
Keep up the great work! I love looking at happy faces!

I was thinking I should make them a bit smaller. I can't seem to find a happy medium with the size. But I will. Then, once I figure the percentage of file size that works, the main file size is different and throws my percentage off cuz i shoot with multiple cameras with different megapixels. Thanks for the tip with renaming files. I think it's lesson people learn the hard way! I already have multiple copies of those photos. They go from camera to hard drive to disk unmodified and I work with copies. I cant even bring myself to delete the dark out of focus ones!!
I REALLY like the photobucket. Its neat and I dont have to worry about the file size being so small. And if you can off load that stuff for free, why not?
Thanks again for the tips and thank to everyone for helping me get through figuring out the picture thing! Happy Easter to everyone.
Dawn
