Every time I look at this picture my little finger starts to throb. If you remember I had just returned from the emergency room after my encounter with the clutch on Nick's Fifty.

So that is the reason one hand is in the pocket and the other is behind the back. I remember that weekend. Your finger did not look good.

First time poster. Congratulations on a very nice site. I thought I would share some ‘Russell’. Here is a photo of it just out of hibernation. This is a 1901 16HP Russell. My two brothers and I are beginning the restoration. Should be fun if we don't run out of money. :)

Looks like you two will have a lot of fun with your new toy :D Just to let you know, you can put quite a few pictures into one posting. Check into the site help section, we have a thread with some picture-posting tips.

Welcome Big Coulee Russell! Glad to see you posting!

Casey covered the picture thing well. You can post 3 thumbnails in one message. Other than that... you have it covered! :thumb:

Since Big Coulee Russell is showing off the steam engine, thought I'd post some pictures of it also, that actually show somebody working on it. Keep the $$ coming Big Brother! :D

I hope you guys keep up the posting through the whole process. Not only are us steam nuts into seeing the posts but the general public has no idea how these old beasts are rebuilt, maintained, and preserved. This gives us all a great exposure to try and get more people involved so the sport never dies.

Thank you.:)

Since this thread is titled 'Cool engines!' I couldn't help but post this shot I got while a Minneapolis steamer was belted to the prony brake last year.

In case someone has noticed, the date on our camera was wrong last year, so I will try to specify directly what year my pictures are from.

That sure was a rainy day! I would sink down a few inches when leaving the platform of the engine. That's me firing Doc Parker's 28 with my dad (Jeff Edin) standing by.

Happy Easter, all!

You almost had it right. You can't have the "[img]" tags around your link.

See you at Steam School Mr. M! Look out... The big Avery will have steam up!

:D That is one cool picture, even better is that it is a Case engine. I doubt any other Engine could do such a thing.:biglaugh: :bannana:
