Here are a couple of pictures taken today at the foundry making molds and pouring bull gears for a 110 Case.

Thanks for getting registered, and for posting those pictures! There are not too many places where you can see pictures of 110 parts being cast!

Is this the same foundry that pours the 80 Case grates like Jim has in the Avery? The place that will be pouring Mark's grates for the Aultman Taylor?

Also, do you know anything about the makeup of the iron they melt down to pour these castings?

I bet it was warm taking those pictures!

I poured these at Dakota Foundry, that is also were I cast the grates like the one's in the Avery.

These gears were poured out of Grey Iron, that they make mostly from melting down scrap castings.

I was there at about 7:00 this morning and we busted the gear out of the mold and it was still about 400 degrees... Not a good place to have insulated coveralls on anyway.
