How early do the organizers of steam school get out on the hill? I would like to come a day(or two) early to help set things up, or to clean buildings/machinery off, if that sort of thing is needed.

Happy Steamn',

Not exactly sure when Tom, Gerry and the crew get to work Casey, but I will be there on Friday AM sometime. I'll find something for you to do!

I took the Friday before the Steam School off, so I will either be coming in Thursday night, or Friday morning. Will anyone be there to unlock the gate? And, better question yet, which gate should I, and other students, use? I'm assuming that we will be camping at the visitor campground--although I'm not terribly familiar with the grounds(I've only been there three days, and camped in the clover field).
Thanks for any guidance you might have,

I'll be down either late Wednesday or early Thursday to start puting plugs and water in the 75 Case.
I got to get the jump on the Avery crew before they take all the water:rof: :not_worthy:

see y'all there

Water won't be a problem but you may want to get some coal before we warm the ol' girl up!!!

A large contingent of steam school related personnel will arrive at the Hill the Wednesday before steam school. I am sure that the gate will be opened at some point that week before school for those who don't have keys!
