The Rollag Foundry

If I remember correctly, the foundry was not operating in the 2006 show(?) Why was that? Are there plans to open it up next year?

They did indeed pour some items last year Casey. It is not a continual process. I know they are in need of personnel to learn the trade and do the show castings. Mr. Grahn is not going to be doing it for much longer.

I think it is great that there is a machine shop and foundry working at Rollog. My High school years before I was there had a foundry class. My father can rember girls and guys taking the class and getting all dirty and have to go to the next class with out taking showers, there is no way you could get away with that these days. One more thing before I go. If anyone is interested in a large Planer let me know, you can call me at 320-848-2132. The man wants it off his land and if no one is going to buy or take it he is going to sell it for SCRAP!!!:confused:

Please call Jim at the shop tomorrow when you get up. We need to try and get an answer on this one before it gets away. I am going to be busy all day and may not have a chance to call him. At least bring it up at the meeting tomorrow night. I will not be there.
