this was in the fargo forum today.

walt was an excellant bass player, announcer, steamer and a very good friend. i will miss him but shall keep him in my heart. prayer and support go out to maxine.

I remember Walt buzzing around the show grounds on his motorcycle. I also remember many, many years ago when he got a stunt pilot to do an air show for us during the show. He would be describing what the pilot was doing, saying he was converting speed to power, and power to speed. He would use the phrase... "and there he goes... up, up, up, like a homesick angle!" I can still hear him saying that!

Certainly he was another "regular" on the grounds, who will be missed! Seems like we are losing a lot of our older members... all the more reason to take this years theme to heart.
