Steam School Weekend

Hi

I was just wondering what the plans were for this coming weekend for the Ortner? We will be getting there sometime Friday and will be staying till Monday morning so I can take my test (I've been studying hard :D ). I know you all run on Saturday for Kids Day, right? Planning on anything else? Just curious. :) Looking forward to coming up and helping out. Hope the weather is somewhat decent. :D

Hello Shelly!
We'll be out there Thursday evening. The plan is to steam up Friday for a final check. Peter made some last minute fixes on the tender so we'll be making sure it holds water yet. We'll steam up on Saturday during kids' day and then that'll be it for the weekend as we need to go home Sunday. Friday steam up will be in the afternoon sometime--no schedule, gonna play it by ear. During that time we may work on cleaning up the wood scraps, get the grass mowed and some weeds wacked. We'll see how much time we have! Looking forward to seeing you!

OK Great! We should be there by late morning at the latest. We're starting out on Thursday afternoon after work so depends on how tired we get how far we get.

Does that answer your question? :D It was very stressful though, brand new test and all the kinks aren't out. ;) But I did it and got a pretty good grade so I was happy as you can see. :D Had a great time with you this weekend working on the Ortner and getting to meet and work with Peter too. Looking forward to coming up for the show and doing some shifts!
