I have a type m international engine double flywheel. I think that this is a type m but this one has a realy odd fuel pump that runs off a cintrifical arm that is driven off the valves the fuel pump was broken but has IHC stamped on it. any way I just I just bought it and it is not a igniter engine but it does not have a mag either it was set up as a battery ignigtion with a coil, I got it running the other day it ran for about 10 minutes but then it tryed to die so I switched it back to the start position it has a lever for a start or run position I know that advances or retards the spark well the engine quit and know when I try to start it it wants to back fire or kick back when in the start position and I t will not just start in the run posistion what changed nothing is loose or broken looking and I never messed with the timing gears or anything.
