Communications System and the Clock Tower

There has been a lot of work going on with the new communictions system we are working on for the show. The two repeaters (one for the RR and one for the administration) are up and running.

This past weekend we had to change out the antenna on the tower, as the first one we put up a month ago was not cut for the right frequency. Here are a few pictures Katy Kerkvliet took of the project...

First, Jeff Lee and Bob Clarke man the tag line as Jon Roeder and I pull the new antenna up the tower.

Here Jon and I work on mounting the antenna.
(footnote... Katy was on the ground taking these pictures of us 100 feet in the air! Her new camera is amazing!)

Katy sent the camera up the line, and I got this shot of our ground crew, Jeff Lee and Bob Clarke from 100 feet up! They look like little bugs without the zoom!

I don't know if my knees could make the trip, (I know they wouldn't like me if I went up!!) but I sure would enjoy going up and looking around. Getting a picture of the Montana or Pabst whistle blowing from up there would be pretty neat!!

Have you taken pictures of the grounds from up there? If so, please post. If not, how about doing that next time.

By the way, I am happy to hear that the radios have been updated. Thanks for your work in obtaining equipment and installing it.
