Hi

We rode the Cumbres and Toltec Railway in Colorado and New Mexico about 3 weeks ago and Dawn was wanting to see pictures so posting so others can see as well. Will remove this thread if you'd rather it was somewhere else. Click on the images for a bit bigger version.

Me at Antonito with the K36 that will be pulling our train. Heading out from Antonito to the first switch back. Getting into the mountains.

Up in the woods. Going over the highest tressle on the line. K36 at Osier Station where you stop for lunch.

Very cool ride. I'd go again some time. Narrow gauge railroading at it's best and very realistic. Not exactly a smooth ride. :) Some of the drop offs were quite white knuckle. :o I'd highly reccomend the ride to anyone who loves railroading.

Ha! Yes! I also want to go ride the Durrango one as well. Maybe next year. <SIGH>

Wonderful Pictures Shelly. Another RR to add to the list of things to do. The scenes in the mountains are terrific.
