If there is anyone that wants a differant job at the show, I know of a really good one. Driving bus in the parking lot!! You get to meet the most interesting people that are coming into the show grounds or on the way back to their car! Its amazing where some people come from to come visit our show. One year there was two guys from Holland that came to visit the show, and they happened to get on my bus...

If you would like to become a driver, please come (with your vaild drivers lis. (no special lis. needed)) to the bus drivers safety meeting on Thursday night, or on Friday morning both at the merchantile.

Some experience driving bigger vechicles is needed though.

I take care of the bus drivers in the afternoon, so i'm usually around the West Gate somewhere, the ticket guys usually can point me out, or last direction i took off in.

Hope to see you at the show!!!:dancingparty:

Eileen, Did you take over for your mother? I know that she used to run the afternoon thing out there. I worked in the morning for the late Don Engen.

You are right though... It is a hoot driving bus. I did the morning shift for 4 years or so, and you get to meet a lot of folks, and they are all very happy... well, 99% of them anyway!

I hope you folks have a dry parking lot to run around in this year!

BTW... Say hi to "that Todahl chick" (Courtney)... inside joke :biglaugh: :hide:

Boy, does that go back a long ways...

Yeah I was in charge last year, the folks where still combining during the show, and this year ma just said she's let me do it again, and she might show up on sunday. If Courtney or Ma show up, I'm putting them to work unless there is a line of people wanting to drive bus. Last year I had the same people drive alot of the time, more than the 2 hours you need too, but they all enjoyed it, so they weren't to upset there wasn't anyone to take their place. As long as they got food, drink, and to go to the potty they are a happy, and enjoyable group of people to work with!

A little rain never hurts, its one of the many things that make Rollag so great! You never hear about the year that it was so dry, but you hear all the time about how people got the camper stuck, car, pickup, tractor you name it.

This year I will hopefully have a new ride! By Tuesday night there will be paint on the 75 jeep! Those Golden Riders will definatly be able to find me if they need to. And hopefully Jeeps go thru more mud then 4-wheelers...

Hopefully!!:bannana:
