Blacksmith shop on Hill

Does anyone know when and by whom and why the blacksmith shop got started on the Hill?

Talk to Jerry Swedberg, he would know. I think Elsworth Grahn was involved with the building. Ancher Hanson(?) from Montana, was the first Blacksmith I can remember. Talk to Swed.
