I was suprised at the family christmas to recieve a certificate from my parents stating that I have been enrolled as a lifetime member in WMSTR. This is something that I have been mulling over for a while now, guess the decision has been made for me. The wife and I have been attending since '03 and have had such a fun time every year. I am excited to be a new member, and hopefully I can find a place to fit in and contribute to the show. I hope that everybody had a safe and happy holiday.

Mike,
Welcome!
I hope that we all make you feel welcome here on the forum and on the grounds.
Look around at differnt areas of the show that interest you. Check out several different places. Maybe you will start working in an area and in a year or so you will move to another. I am always amazed at the variety of jobs on the grounds. I am more amazed at the talents and skills the members of WMSTR have.
I hope to meet you and work with you,
Jerry Christiansen

Welcome aboard as a lifetime member Mike! That was an awesome idea for a gift that keeps on giving! We should remember that in our fall newsletter as a gift idea for peoples Christmas lists!
Be sure to send Vern (vnanosky) a PM and let him know your membership number so you get access to the "members only" area of the forum.
Looking forward to meeting you on the grounds next season sometime!

Great news Mike! Don't be in too much of a hurry to find an "area" the entire operation needs a lot of help during the summer. After a while it seems to become natural to hang out in one particular area that appeals more than others. It can be surprising sometimes where that area is. It sometimes is an area not though of at first but that can really be a learning experience.
