These gorgeous specimens of WMSTR contributors are (clockwise from T-R): Linda Spencer, Patsy Gordon, me, Kitten Hutchings. I remember, it was 80 some degrees and we threw on sweatshirts to take this picture. The sweatshirts we bought at the merc before they ran out. We thought they were original and since we all got one, why not get a photo??

It sure is nice to have the whole Iverson family's smiling faces helping out on the Ortner!!

For the 2005 show, the Ortner started giving out tickets with dedications. In 2005, the crew dedicated the ticket to Roy Hagstrom.

In 2006, the ticket was dedicated to Bill Dey. We got pictures of his family on the Ortner that year.

2007's ticket dedicated Gerry Stange.

Oh ya! That's me on the tractor. I guess if I can use his tractor, Dan can use my camera....

We have been trying to take crew pictures every year and this year, the only pictures that werent out of focus that day, that I took are these:

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u304/dndlong/DSC_2301_comp_Shelly.jpg

Shelly and Darren. I know you love me Shelly, you need not say it! LOL. I can't help it that you guys are so photogenic.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u304/dndlong/DSC_2311_comp_PeterPat.jpg

And Peter and Pat Masley. They look like two kids in a candy store, dont they?

But, thank goodness for my mommy. Despite all my complaining, SHE got good, IN FOCUS, pictures of the crew this year. Whew!

We're missing some! Always seem to miss some! Chris and Morris Maudel couldnt be there and John Freid was away during the show. I'm sure there are more I can't recall right now. Thanks crew!!!!!!

Great pictures as per usual Dawn.

How the heck do you do this...

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u304/dndlong/DSC_2318_edited_comp.jpg

Is this a thing the camera does, or do you do it with some photo editing program? I have seen this effect before, and I really like it!

BTW... Good looking (and hard working) railroad crew! Thank you all!

That's my little secret. Oh, Kidding. I used a FREE piece of software called paint.net. it can be found at getpaint.net. You add a layer, turn it B and W and use the eraser to erase the BW layer and allow the color to come through.

It's pretty time consuming. Certain pictures really shine with the technique though!!

the new conductor Joshua Zincke is very excited to be working on the Ortner again this year!
He wanted me to ask you if there will be any help needed during steam school and kids weekend.
Joshua can not wait for the snow to melt and for the first steam up to happen.
looking forward to another great year at Rollag

We'd be SUPER happy to have Joshua's help conducting for Kids' Day/Steam School Weekend! The plan is to run the train Saturday and Sunday this year. The help would be grealy welcomed! And he just does an amazing job! Tell him we're looking forward to the first steam up too!!
