Hi all,
I've been working on my 1949 John Deere A again lately. We have had some very nice weather here and it has been nice to be able to work on the old A again!! I will get more pics soon. In the last few days, I have removed the busted frame and put on a good frame, I honed and cleaned the block, put the transmission back together, cleaning up the dirt off the tractor, sanded the grilles to the bare metal and much much more. My only problem is I cannot buy any parts for it yet, I'm 15 and I am paying for my 3rd tractor and still owe $280.00, so I can't spend on the A yet. I have not cleaned the hood yet because I may put on a uncut hood, I know where I can get one. (when I have money!) Jerry, you asked for pics of the frame, here they are.

Thanks for reading,
Andy Motteberg.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the pictures. After looking at the cracks, I am surprised the front of the tractor didn't fall off! Keep up the good work and please keep us informed of the progress with pictures.

Later,
Jerry Christiansen
