I have a You Tube video with footage of the various miniature engines at Rollag (already posted here somewhere). I have had a few people ask me for details on the Ortner locomotive.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVeDz-vjczU

Here are the questions:
What is the track gauge (15" ??)
Who is the manufacturer of the locomotive? or was it custom built?
When was the locomotive built?
Where was it built?
How long has it been at Rollag? and Where else has it been?I would really appreciate if anyone could help answer a few of these.

By the way, to date, this video has been viewed 10,417 times on You Tube. The total for all my Rollag videos posted on You Tube is 192,318 views. Hopefully all this free advertising will draw a few more spectators to the show. :D

Cool video.

Gauge: 14.25"
Manufacturer: Wagner and Son, Plainfield IL
Built: 1942
Built in Plainfield, IL
If memory serves correctly, its been at WMSTR since 1982, approximately. In her younger years, the Ortner made her home at Niagra Falls at an amusement park.

Many of the showbooks have wonderful articles about the Ortner! They are full of historical info and specifics on how the Ortner came to be where she is now.

Thanks!!
