Butch is in Innovis Hospital room 422. It seems he has had a silent heart attack and is having a lot of tests done to try and see what the problem is. Please remember him in your prayers and if you get a chance to stop by and visit he would very much appreciate it.

If you talk to Butch tell him he is in the Kerkvliet family prayers Rick.
My schedule is crazy, and not too sure I will have time to get up there, but I sure will be thinking about him.

I just got news from Rick that Butch passed away last night. I don't know a lot now, but he has long suffered from complications of diabetes.
Butch was a long time member of WMSTR, and served as the Depot Agent for many years. He will be missed.
Please remember Butch, his wife and family in your prayers.
More information to follow when it is available.

Thanks Mark for getting the post up for us. Today has been a very sad day for the Kracht family and the Halldorson family as Butch and Connie have been kind friends that have advised and supported our family since shortly after we moved to Enderlin.
Butch and I have spent many hours in his shop restoring old tired Iron and many times just taking our "milk crate" time. If a project wasn't going the best one of us would call out milk crate time and we would both pull over one of the many metal milk crates we used in the shop and sit down just to talk and ponder. The job always went better after a break and some conversation.
Butch passed away peacefully at his home and will be remembered and missed by the whole community.
As soon as I have an obit I will post it and another short tribute in the "tributes" section. Tentative plans are for a Saturday funeral but we will know the final plan tomorrow.
Thanks all for the prayers they are what make a difference in our lives here on earth.
Blessings,
Rick

Rick,
Pass along my deepest sympathy to Connie. He will be missed down in lutefisk. He always had a warm smile, hug and time to talk and listen. Our Girls will also miss "Grandpa Butch" as they called him.
Happy we got the chance to visit with him at the house warming. You never know what God has planned.

I sure will miss his good ol' conversations at Hickson, that's for sure!!!
I talked to him on the phone Tuesday evening before he passed on later that night, and he and I had a good old talk about Rollag and how well he was doing. I sure hope I can leave this earth and go to heaven as peacefully as he did. A person like him bolsters and matures people like me.
Connie, you had (make that "have") a good-un there. He still exists, you know. We will look forward to a meeting with him again sooner than we expect.
