Pulling during showtime

What are the customs for pulling during the show time? Is there a sign up with a schedule and everything, or is it a show-up-and-wait-in-line deal? If I get the chance, I would like to pull with my tractor (assuming it is still running by then :D)

No, if you can drive a tractor you can be in the tractor pull.
