Greetings all.
Seeing as things are beginning the uphill climb in anticipation of the 2008 show, I've decided to get myself in gear for video work. I have over 50 hours of blank video sitting waiting for this year. :picture:
I will be up on the Hill for Steam School in June, and if anyone has anything they would like to catch on tape, anything from prepping engines, repairs, whatever.. If you'd like to take 5 minutes and give a history of your engine or some other part of the show you are involved with (either on or off camera) this can be done as well when we aren't so busy during the actual show time.
I also might poke my head into the classes if permitted and try to get some more 'documentary' type footage that can be used in other areas aside from the production DVD. (RFD, Promotional trailers for the show/website, etc) I have so many tangents I could go off on, on great ways to use some video clips to draw more visitors to the show, but for now...
Anyways - I just wanted to throw out that I'll be up and filming whatever I see exciting. Please feel free to contact me here, or catch me on the hill. I'm not that hard to track down :D
If anyone else has suggestions or comments for the 2008 DVD, on anything, things we should film more, things we should film less, if you have any commentary you would like to add for any of the displays or exhibits, or other history, please let me know.
