Wood Hauling

Jim & Louie picked up a load of slabwood earlier this week. But Jim needed to haul 2 more loads, so I thought to help him save some time I would haul one load so we could get it all done before the weekend. I don't know the name of the sawmill we went to, but it was down in the Lakes area by Vergas.

Here Jim has got 8 bundles loaded and is busy strapping them on.

I was able to get 7 bundles on, but wasn't sure of the weight so we stopped at that. We got back to the Hill right at dark and Louie, Klinger, Jim and I got his trailer unloaded and I left mine out there loaded. We weren't sure where we wanted to put that load. So bring your chainsaws, we have 23 bundles of slabwood to cut up for the show! Sounds like this Saturday is the day we will be doing it. Mark K, correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I am told that it is indeed a wood cutting weekend. I think Jim said from 1:00 to 4:00 or something like that.

There is a lot of other things going on this weekend as well... of course shingling if there are enough people, probably more work in the horse power area, pulling engines and gas tractors out of buildings, etc.

We only have this weekend and next weekend left until show time, so we have to really get things organized and give it a little extra effort to get everything ready.
