As I write this, we are 1 week away from our 60th Reunion!

First off, I would like to apologize for my lack of posting here this summer. In the past, when I have been involved in a project I have taken tons of pictures and written volumes about it! I had a lot of positive comments about those threads. I really miss having the time to put them together.

I have found that with my newest responsibilities at WMSTR, I just don't have the time to go around taking pictures, collecting my thoughts, and saving them as written word here. I have not committed myself to any one project the last couple of years... rather I travel around, help where I can, and try to make sure everyone else is happy and have what they need to complete theirs.

There have been many, many big projects that have happened on the show grounds this summer. If I were to try to list them all here, I would forget one and hurt those who were involved there.

Rest assured that they are all noticed by myself, the Board of Directors, other members, and soon will be noted by the most important group... our visitors!

I would like to personally thank all of you volunteers who have worked tirelessly all summer on WMSTR related projects! No matter how big or small, they all add up to keep the WMSTR the greatest show of it's kind in the world! Other organizations have to be envious of what we are able to achieve here with our outstanding volunteers!

On a personal note... there are a few of you whom I have asked to go above and beyond what you may have had planned for work here this past summer, and I cannot remember getting a "NO!"... well maybe a "no" and then it got done anyway :)...! You folks know who you are, and I just want you to know how much I really appreciate your extra effort and your friendships! My sincere thank you to all of you!

Finally, I have to thank my wife Katy. She is not always able to be with me on the grounds because she has been working a lot of weekends lately, but she is always understanding of "our" work here and lets me do what I feel I need to do to complete my work here. I am sure a lot of you have the same situation on your families. Lucky, aren't we!

So... lets have one BIG final push this weekend to get ready, and then let's all have a great, SAFE! 60th reunion!
