On behalf of my entire family, I would like to thank everyone for all of the prayers and the positive thoughts.

I have never lost anyone this close to me before. Even though Dads passing was expected, I did not know how I would react. Some of the past week is personal, but one thing I did note was that the outpouring of handshakes, phone calls and cards meant a lot to all of us. Dad had a lot of friends, and they came out of the woodwork to honor him one last time.

Another thing I think is important... I had the opportunity to have a chat with my Dad 3 weeks before he passed. Just he and I in private. What was said is personal, but if you ever have that chance, DO IT NOW. I apologize for anyone who has lost someone close that did not get to have that chat, but that talk I had with Dad carried me through this past week. I had no un-finished business with him. I think that made everything go a lot better for my part.
