I've started cataloging all the pictures I have into areas and years.

    Example: Folder: (Sawmills):
Inside Folders: (Briden-Roen sawmill, Earl's sawmill, Jim's Shingle Mill, Miniatureland sawmill, Thick & Thin sawmill, small sawmills)
Folders inside each sawmill folder are pictures taken each year:
Folders: (2000, 2001, 2002...etc); in each year folder are the pictures.

I would like to have the pictures ID'd as: (picture #) (area), (names/Make/model, etc) (initials of who took the picture), (year it was taken).

(4564 BRSM Hartley Ellingson, sawyer JS 2009)

...taking off the ("101_" and "img_") that are put on the picture by your camera. Four digit numbers are easier to work with).

(Directory pictures...head shots...are labled (last name, first name, area worked, initials of who took pic and year)

This would make a great data base for putting together history and stories. This makes it easier to find a picture one is looking for.

Old pictures you have that you would like to share in this data base are welcomed.

Could you name the picture in the above manner for easy ID?

Also, looking for people to ID pictures already in data base and rename them.

    Thanks

    Good idea Jean...

I have a TON of WMSTR picture and I have no idea when they were taken, or where to find one when I am looking for something specific. Wish I would have kept better records!

I know i can always count on you to dig one up for me when I need one for something!

    Thanks!

I too have a lot of pictures I have taken the past few years I have been there. I know what year I took them but do not have the time to go through them and sort them out as to what they all are of and not sure I would know even if I did .in order to share them I would have to put them on a jump and physically send them to you.
