Hello fellow members.
I recently acquired a 1938 Cletrac DDH with a 6 cylinder diesel engine made by Hercules. I've seen a lot of conflicting information on the internet but I think I've got most of it figured out. I am having an issue with the track tension-er bolt. Track is loose and previous owner, before passing tried heating it with a torch as I understand it, to no avail. Any tips on loosening rusted bolts on track tension-er is appreciated. Being 80 plus years its amazing it fires up and runs. Dont know much more about it but price was right. Widower had 60 days to clear off the land of hubbys 'projects' and she gave it to me. Just had to pay haul out fees. Still, 1500 for a running dozer even though its old seemed like a great idea. Time will tell. ;)
Lastly, if anyone knows of parts that may be around, I would appreciate hearing about them.

Oh, and I was the guy who made the Johnston Brothers big sign on front of their building. Few years back now. ;)

Update.... I passed on the bulldozer. It was a really cool machine. Engine, Trans, Sprockets all good... the rest.. the tracks... O M Gosh. That and it was in a location a semi could not get the lowboy to. Moving on to the next find. ;)

Dale... Trying to remember... did you make the vinyl signage for the visitors shower house?
