A few pictures of the horse driven well drilling rig that was rebuilt and put back in action this year. Bob Wohlin of California started on it last year and lead the project with the help of quite a few folks including Bob's cousins in MN, Merlyn's crew at the sawmill, Help from Larsen Welding, and a number of younger members who put a lot of work in






 
Thanks for the pictures, Mark. The machine worked quite well. The first time they used it they struck water at four feet! Of course they were only about 30 feet from the edge of the pond. A big thank you to Bob for taking on the project and seeing it to completion.

A new exhibit is always neat and it is better when it works.

The only way the crew could have improved their chances of hitting water is if they would have put it on a barge floating on the pond. :)... After saying that, thanks to the crew that took on this project and saw it to completion.
