The base of the Merry Go Round. I need to pay more attention next summer and see where the wheels and tires are when this is in the building.

One wheel well is on the left. The circle in the middle is what is left of the pipe that holds the rotating platform up in the air.

Noah D use the tig welder to build up the pieces that go in the connecting rod Ray worked on. Later Ray would machine those pieces down to fit in the trued up opening.

Louie worked on a trailer to make water blow down eaiser. He plans to use this to haul RV antifreeze around when we blow out the water lines in the fall.

Thanks for all the great pics Jerry! I feel bad I didn't make the trip. Observations: 1.That top sprocket ring is pretty impressive, who made that? 2.It's always good to see talented people getting so many different jobs done. 3.The shop never looked better! o_O -John

Thanks Jerry for the pictures! Vern and I stopped by in December and saw some of the stuff going on, but did not help out... just a short visit since Vern was in town.

A couple of answers if I may for John... Sanders Metal cut the rings for the Merry Go Round sprocket and Justing M painstakingly welded in the "teeth" in his shop. It is even more impressive in person.

I will let Clayton deal with the elimination of the dark cave feel of the shop. I was in there a week ago and he told me how that all went down. Need sunglasses in parts of the shop now!

Good to hear from you John!

Thanks for the info Mark. Isn't it great to have younger, talented WMSTR members with the right equipment to do that stuff?! Thanks guys. Upon further review of the pictures, I see why the shop looks so good (other than the fact that I miss being there). Let there be light!
