The services will be live streamed, then archived, on a link provided along with his obituary on his tribute page at www.lerudmathias.com. An online guestbook is available there as well. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sanborn.

John Francis Weber was born December 22, 1951, in Valley City, ND (along with his twin, Joseph) to Jake and Margaret (Hoffart) Weber. He grew up in the Eckelson, ND area in Mansfield Township attending Eckelson School for most of his schooling. In 1970, he graduated from Barnes County North High School and went on to attend NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND.

He and Joe returned to the family farm and raised dairy cattle for many years. He worked at Cavendish for 6 years and then John Deere Seeding in Valley City for 14, retiring in 2017.

John was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sanborn and was very active in 4H. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to auctions. He had a love for horses, but an even bigger love for Oliver tractors. John and Joe enjoyed their trips to Rollag and to We Fest. While attending school in Wahpeton, he boxed in the city league in the 105 division. He was an avid NDSU Bison fan.

John is survived by his twin brother, Joe and brother, Raymond (Joan); sister, Mary (Gary) Gover; brother-in-law, Terry Gruchalla; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wally; sister, Ramona Gruchalla; and an infant brother.

John and his twin brother Joe were fixtures at WMSTR for many years. They could always be seen together and if memory serves they got around driving a garden tractor, one of them driving and the other riding in a trailer behind it. Always smiling and waving as they passed by.

They bought the shows Cockshutt when we sold it some years back on a sealed bid auction and were so excited about repairing it and getting it moving again. Not sure if it ever got done.

I've not seen them at the show or at any annual meetings for a few years. Cannot remember the last time, but any time something like this happens we remember those who may have faded off the radar in the last few years. That is one thing nice about this tribute section. Page back through it from time to time and bring back some good old memories!
