On Sunday, 28 March, we got a new attraction for the Hill when Jim Briden did the initial steamup on my 10 ton Buffalo-Springfield tandem steam roller. Culmination of a 25 year project. Many thanks to Jerry Swedberg, Richard Rorvig, Peter Kieffer, Jim Briden and Jeff Lund. It will be in steam again on 10 April at Jim's Open House.

Awesome Frank!

I have been watching this machine go together for the last few months at Jim's shop. It is a beautiful piece of machinery... you must be very proud!

I am sure that Richard and Peter watching and they are thrilled as well!

Great job Jim, and all who were involved!

Congratulations :congrats:

Great job everyone! It will be fun to see it at the hill. There is a similar roller at the Jordan MN. show. Although it's been a number of years since I've been there.:thumb:

Neal, I believe that was Jack Strand's 6 ton roller. I got to drive that. It didn't have a steering lever like my machine. There was a two way valve to control the steering engine. It was a little like the air control valve on a car lift.

Your steam roller will be a nice addition to the steamer line up at WMSTR.
Nice to see it compleated, the pictures look real good and you should be very proud of it, and those that had a part in restoring it.:thumb:

Frank,
Thanks for reminding me about Jack, I simply forgot his name. But that is who I was thinking of. Thanks again.
