Steam School 2022

G'day folks,

My plan is to make the show's Port Huron available again for checklist work on Saturday morning of Steam School, starting 8-8:30, near the red Prony brake. we'll put the parts that get taken out back in, fire up, and go. If there are folks that want to help with the process and get checked off on related items, that's what this occasion is for.

Please pass the word on to folks who might be interested. Four persons is about the max that works. First come, first served.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for offering this training for people.

Do we have any engines and crews that are interested in practice firing on Prony Brakes in the mornings of Steam School? This will provide time for Steam School graduates practice their firing technique.

We wouldn't pull at 100% power all day. We can 'saw logs' for a while, then 'thresh' for a while. We can start and stop anytime the engineers want and provide opportunity for the new firemen to look at other features.
