Hi All,

Steam Up this year is scheduled for April 12.

Who is planning to come? Are you going to bring anything to show?

I will bring the Blue Brake if there is something there to run.

Later,
Jerry Christiansen

Looks like I can make it, this year. All I have is me and I'm not so sure I can give the Blue Brake a workout and not hurt it.

Is Ray W going to conduct a preSteamup breakfast safety meeting?

More importantly, can he be there on time?

I am planning on attending. Are we in planning the traditional educational breakfast?

Last year we met at the Fryn' Pan, 310 Main Ave, Fargo. That seemed to work pretty well.
How about we meet there about 6am?

It sounds like the Bison Antique Tractor Club is planning to bring their R John Deere to Steam Up. I invited them to join us at breakfast.

I am going to try to make it this year. I have a lot more flexible schedule of late... Don't think we will be in the field yet by then.

I will be there for the educational session/ breakfast. Talked with Justin and he will be partaking as well.

Man… that came up quick! I hope to be there, but it is really early for a retired guy!

Hi everyone,

Steam Up was GREAT this year. We had good weather, no snow and very little mud. Casey Jo's served us a good meal. A good sized crowd. I got to catch up with friends and make a few new friends.

Herre are some pictures I took after the Blue Brake was set up. As usual, I forgot to get my camera out later in the day.

The last picture is one that Connor Blessum took and allowed me to use. I met Conner in June of 2023 at the Hawk Museum near Wolford, ND. Conner is a member of the Bison Antique Tractor Club. These are two of the 10 tractors the club owns and stores on the NDSU campus. The Club has been in existence since 1966 and has restored more than the 10 tractors that are on campus. I didn't know about the Club until I met Connor. Seven of the Club members joined us for breakfast Saturday morning, then they drove these two tractors down from NDSU and spent a bunch of time at Steam Up. The R restoration was completed this past winter. It the first tractor on the Brake.

I really had good intentions! Alarm went off at 5AM, but I wasn't done sleeping yet! Woke up again at 8AM... Then it was off to the farm to keep getting ready for planting. Starting to realize what people mean when they say they are busier after they retire! A friend texted me Saturday and said "Retirement sounds exhausting" :biglaugh:

Mark, it is what you take time to do not how busy you are:Shrugs:
You are correct. I need to work on that... Right after planting and getting our shower house at Rollag put together!

I did go south for 5 weeks this winter! That's a start!
