Lynette Sherilyn Briden, 76, of Sabin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 23, 1949, in Warren, Minnesota, Lynette’s warmth, strength, and unwavering love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family was the center of Lynette’s world. She lit up every room she entered with her bright smile and kind spirit. She was the rock in countless moments- steady, encouraging, and full of quiet strength. Her heart was open to everyone, and she lived her life caring deeply for others.
Lynette was an extraordinary baker and loved to entertain. She dedicated many years to working weddings and gatherings at Bethel Church, where her welcoming presence and joyful energy made every event special. She had a natural gift for making people feel seen, supported, and loved.
In 1972, Lynette and Jim purchased Larson Welding in Fargo, ND. Lynette ran the office while juggling countless other responsibilities, keeping everything running smoothly with her signature dedication and grace. Her work ethic, loyalty, and ability to manage anything placed in front of her were admired by all.
Lynette and Jim were longtime and deeply involved members of WMSTR, where Lynette made history as the organization’s first, and still only, female President. Summers were spent between the lakes and the WMSTR grounds, and every fall brought travels to steam shows, a tradition they shared and loved. These adventures filled her life with friendships and memories.
Lynette’s life was a beautiful example of generosity, resilience and family devotion. Her impact will continue to ripple through the many lives she touched. Lynette’s deep love for God guided her life. Her faith was her anchor, and she lived each day with devotion, gratitude, and a heart full of trust in Him.
Lynette is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Briden, with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership, hard work, and adventure. Together they built a beautiful family, raising three daughters who adored her: Markell (Aric) Saign, Tracy Griffis, and Beth (Blake) Jegtvig. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Kenneth Griffis, Jack Griffis, Cash Jegtvig, and Jud Jegtvig, each of whom brought her endless joy. Lynette is also survived by her sister, Jodi (Al) Maloney, sisters-in-law Janet Briden and Jackie Swanson, mother-in-law Gloria Briden, and many extended loved ones who will forever carry her memory.
Lynette is preceded in death by her cherished son, Casey and grandson Casey, her parents Wilbert and Phyllis, stepfather Earl, brother Paul, and father-in-law William, all of whom she longed to see again in heaven.
Lynette will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.
